IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PAPER PLAINS BOOK FEST, ANAMCARA PRESS, ALONG WITH MEADOWLARK PRESS AND THE KANSAS AUTHORS CLUB DISTRICT 2, INVITE YOU TO THE SOARING STORIES EVENT! ENJOY GREAT SPEAKERS AND FUN ACTIVITIES INCLUDING:
- micro-presentations and Q & A with authors Leonard Krishtalka, Ann Anderson, David Hann, and creators and contributors to the 105 Meadowlark Reader, A Kansas Journal of Creative Nonfiction, a collaboration between Cheryl Unruh of Quincy Press and Tracy Million Simmons of Meadowlark Press.
- paper airplane poetry activity – make your own soaring poems and prose. Printed poetry and short stories submitted in advance by Kansas poets will be used to create your paper airplane — actual soaring stories! Materials & instruction provided.
- open mic! Please bring your words to share with others in this 30 minute open forum (up to 3 minutes each).
- author meet & greet.
